Enrollment as a Doctoral Student at the TU Berlin

According to §4, section 4 of the doctoral regulations of the TU Berlin candidates have to register as doctoral students if they are not employed by the TU Berlin.

All necessary forms for enrollment are available from our Information and Download Center. Please specify an offered degree course of TU Berlin close to your field at the enrollment.

Following your enrollment you should apply for the admission as a doctoral candidate at the Service Center of the respective School as early as possible to ensure that you are accepted as a doctoral candidate and if further conditions apply. The decision of the School has to be presented after two semesters at the latest. Otherwise, the status as a doctoral student will be automatically revoked.

Doctoral Research with a Foreign University Degree

Interested students with a foreign university degree should contact the International Office which will give you a first indication whether your final degree entitles you to pursue doctoral studies in Germany.

Please note that you can only enroll as a doctoral student if your provide a written acceptance letter of a supervisor at the TU Berlin.
